Summer Warmth

Even though it is barely winter, today actually, I am already pining for the warm days of summer.
I got back into the studio today do this quick sketch acrylic and ink sketch on water colour paper.

Cheating

Today is bright and sunny but still bloody cold.
I did not go out to do this piece. Instead I worked in my studio to do a quick sketch painting of the shore of Lake Ontario remembering when there was NOT 50 feet of ice built up along the shore.

Caribbean sketches

This Christmas I spent the Holidays with family on St. Maarten.
I had been their previously just briefly but this time I got to see more of the island.
The wind was warm but strong.
The days were partly cloudy but they moved across the sky quite quickly leaving just enough sun to feel the warmth but not really realize just how hot it was.
